Wealthy women should protect themselves with a prenup

It seems that high-powered women are having trouble finding love. Like many others, some hard-working, professional women in Connecticut are looking to find a person to get to know, fall in love with, and maybe even to marry.

Women in such positions should be even more cautious than others when it comes to getting married. Be sure to consider a prenuptial agreement, especially if the person you do fall in love with is less wealthy than you, because the division of property during a divorce could find you losing the one you thought you loved, as well as a large portion of your wealth.

According to experts, many of these women are turning to matchmakers because they do not have the time or the social circles to find a suitable partner. These matchmakers aren’t the run-of-the-mill ones that are often seen in movies and television shows, though; according to reports, some of them cost as much as $200,000 per year.

Only about 25 percent of prospective clients are accepted by these matchmakers.

In order to ensure the safety of high-value clients, these professionals run background checks on both potential dates and the clients themselves. Possible dates are then drilled with questions to prove that they are who they say they are and not some random person trying to scam a client out of money.

According to some experts, men are intimidated by these sorts of women, making dating for them even harder. If you are lucky enough to find a person you can marry, be sure to consider the protection of a prenuptial agreement.
